Evaluation

Practice data that points at your next study session

A dashboard across your openings, endgames, and puzzles that answers one question: what needs another round of practice this week.

What the dashboard shows

The dashboard does not just show numbers. It shows the lines you were slow on yesterday, the endgames you keep slipping, and the puzzles you keep missing. Every number has a link to a drill, so a weak spot turns into a practice session without you deciding what to work on.

It is broken into three panels - Openings, Endgames, and Puzzles - and each one ranks your lines by a retention score rather than just your last result, so a line you have not seen in a while floats to the top when it needs drilling.

The chart that actually helps

Instead of a streak counter, the dashboard tracks recall rate: the percentage of moves you produced correctly across all your recent practice. That is the number that predicts improvement, and it is the one thing most chess tools do not measure. A line with a 95 percent recall rate is ready to ignore; a line at 40 percent is where your next hour belongs.

One stat to pick up tomorrow

At the end of each day the dashboard surfaces one opening and one endgame that should be the first thing you train tomorrow. It is based on how long it has been since you last practiced each line, weighted by how close your recall rate was to slipping.

FAQs about evaluation

Do I need an account to see my evaluation?

Yes. Your evaluation is tied to your progress, and progress is saved to your account. The numbers you see after signing in are only ever yours.

Is my data private?

By default, yes. Your progress and evaluation are never public. You can choose to share your puzzle rating and a practice summary on your public profile, but nothing is shared unless you turn it on.
